In collaboration with POS, a nonprofit collective that organizes all kinds of musical events, workshops, and exhibitions and produces radio programs, I contributed to an ADE event.
The venue was the central market hall, a large space that connects studio areas. Adjacent to the large central hall were several rooms where music was played, lectures were held, and workshops were conducted.
The design challenge was to create a transparent partition
for the space between the large hall and the rooms. Thanks to the transparency, visitors were guided to the party in the otherwise dark hall. In combination with light installations, the visitors were illuminated and appeared as silhouettes on the fabric.
To construct the partition, existing holes in the floor were used as anchors for the steel structure. Between these,
I hung white wind-resistant fabric panels. The industrial aesthetic matched the character of the building and produced a raw result.
